Ministerial duties aren’t all about going away to exotic places and trips to the pub. Ministers also help out their constituents. In this case, it was regular supplier and sister-in-law Jo who needed some help this weekend.
So we found ourselves dressed up like a member of Altern 8, installing a loft ladder and boarding out a loft. This involves lots of nasty insulation, which requires protection, in the form of masks and CSI style suits. If that 1990s reference to Altern 8 passes you by:-
Anyway, on to the food element, and today’s triple pork nirvana. Breakfast was made by my own fair hand, bacon, caramelised onion sausage, scromlet (copyright Mrs MOFAD, a future post will explain this) and crumpets. Crawling around in lofts is hard work, so needs adequate sustenance.
Lunch was a ham roll and some crisps, enough to keep us going for the afternoon. When the working day was done, we opted for a Chinese takeaway:-
This (eventually) arrived from China Dragon – instead of driving over, we ordered online, and it turned up half an hour late – we were starving by this point. The special fried rice contained nice porky bits, so triple pork nirvana was achieved once more!
The photo is from last time, I was too hungry to stop and take one tonight!!!
